Job Description As a pre-sales engineer the responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Analysis and design at customer sites. * Works with vendor -partners on proposals, design issues and general product feedback. * Provides technical training and development support to the local branch or business partners, and provides technical support at trade shows * Provides detailed network drawings and diagrams as required * Assists the sales team in qualifying and closing specific customer opportunities * Complete designs and technical aspects of proposals for prospects and customers * Leads technical discovery with a focus on customer's applications * Provides selling presentations and solution * Designs and prices products and services as needed to provide to customer for sale. * Throughout the project life cycle, investigates additional sales opportunities and provides relevant information to appropriate sales organizations * Provides network and applications impact analysis for customers and prospects * Researches and contrasts competitive offerings with specific opportunities * Continually updates customer on available enhancements and perspectives on network trends. * Develops and provides detailed network drawings as required * Coordinates handoff to primary implementation lead on deals sold * Creates and implements solutions that are supportable within networking operations, engineering and product constraints * Ensure final documentation (engineering diagrams, site surveys, statement of work) is complete and updates historical information to be used for future projects * Some local travel may be required (use of company van)
Required Skills * Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) Certification recommended * Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification recommended * Being able to Estimate to Customer Needs * 3-6 years experience in an analysis and design in a Cisco environment * 5 plus years in a pre-sales capacity * Microsoft Product Knowledge * APC Product Knowledge * Must be professional a great communicator and solid experience with client interaction
