Job Description Our client seeks a Project manager for software development projects - both internal product development and customer projects. Candidate must be able to define and deliver the planned results, a self-starter with an innate need to make things happen. Self driven individual who can help others determine how to solve a problem when they can't see that a solution exists.
Required Skills * PMP certification preferred * Project management principles required * Planning * Scheduling * Tracking using MS Project * Understanding of the mechanics and value of using earned value management to track project progress * Able to define customer requirements at sufficient detail to allow engineering requirements and test plans to be defined * Manage risks, implement and track contingency and recovery plans * Excellent negotiation skills to manage the contract, the customer, the team and internal management interests. * Manage 3-8 projects across multiple project simultaneously. * Some knowledge or experience with Agile project management beneficial. Minimum 5 years experience at managing software development projects.
